Frequently asked questions

It runs on my own servers — why do I need a license?

The license is access to the catalog. What tidoly gives you is not starting containers; it is the wiring definitions between apps and the work of keeping them current. The license is what lets you receive those definitions.

If my license expires, do my running apps stop?

No. Workloads and deployments that are already running are never touched. What stops is fetching new catalog content and upgrading. What you run keeps running; only the paths that install something new or move you to a newer version close.

How do I move to a different server?

Press "Stop using this site" in the portal, then install on the new server with the same key. The contract is one license = one site at a time, so releasing the old server frees the slot for the new one.

I lost my license key — can it be reissued?

No. The key is shown once when it is issued and we do not store it — storing it would turn a credential into something that can be looked up. If you have lost yours, please contact us.

Where is our data stored?

On your servers. Your business data stays inside the cluster you installed, and tidoly does not hold a copy of it.

Does it work on an air-gapped network?

Not today. License verification and catalog downloads both need to reach us.

Do I need my own domain?

No. Pick a name and your site opens at yourname.tidoly.app right away. If you already have a domain, you can connect that instead.

How do I get a trial?

Sign in and issue one from the portal. No card required, and it is one per account.
